GRANTHAM, Pa.- The Randolph men's wrestling team participated in in its final match of 2024 on Saturday as the team competed at the Chocolate Duals hosted by Messiah University. The WildCats lost to the host Falcons 56-0, fell to Sussex County Community College 28-23, and edged out Union Community College 25-24.
Against Sussex, Austin Frazier (Bath, N.C./Northside HS) won by fall over Aidan Hallowich in 4:18 at the 165-weight class. Theodore Piluso (Troutville, Va./Lord Botetourt) had a technical fall win against Jose Alvarenga Giron at 174. Harriss Sullivan (Clemmons, N.C./North Davidson HS) and Trae Spivey (Roanoke, Va.) both had forfeit wins at 197 and 285, respectively.
In the Union match, Justin Porter (Lynchburg, Va.) scored a forfeit win at the 125-weight class. Adon Overstreet (Lynchburg, Va./Heritage HS) had a major decision win 12-2 over Braulio Villafana Jr. Jordan Nutter (Fredericksburg, Va./Courtland HS) won 10-3 against Louis Mustillo at 157. Piluso took down Vito Giannetta in three minutes. Sullivan scored points with his win over David Quintalla in 2:13.
Randolph returns to the mat on January 4 when they compete at the Jim Crytzer Invitational hosted by Washington and Lee.
