Reid Takes Reins in Interim Role for Randolph Women’s Lacrosse

LYNCHBURG, Va.- Bruce Reid has been named the interim head coach for the Randolph College women's lacrosse program entering the 2024-25 season. Director of Athletics, Tom Galbraith, made the announcement on Thursday. Reid begins his duties immediately.

Reid brings over two decades of head coaching experience with him to the role for the WildCats compiling 184 career wins as the head women's lacrosse coach at the University of Lynchburg from 2003-23 and was the 2010 ODAC Coach of the Year.

In his tenure with the Hornets, he coached 94 all-ODAC honorees and six times posted double-digit win totals. From 2009-21, a span of 13 seasons, Lynchburg recorded winning records with Reid at the helm.

Since leaving the University of Lynchburg, Reid has served as a volunteer assistant coach with the Randolph men's lacrosse program.

Reid completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland in recreation programming and holds a master's degree in recreation administration from Temple University.

The school will conduct a national search for a permanent head coach this spring.
