ARLINGTON, Va. - The Randolph College women's wrestling team faced a tough opponent at Marymount University, falling 10-33 in team scoring despite several strong individual performances.

At 103 weight class, Nicole Barahona Rios of Marymount quickly secured a pin over Iyania Corbett in just 17 seconds, giving Marymount an early lead. Kylie Brigman answered back in the 117 weight class with a dominant performance, pinning Alexis Deagle of Marymount in a mere 31 seconds to keep the WildCats in the mix.

Randolph forfeited bouts at 124, 131, and 160 weight classes. In the 138 weight class, Satori Swanson faced a tough challenge, falling to Alyssa Landrum of Marymount by tech fall, 10-0, in 2:36. Alexis Spade also fell to Ainsley Mate of Marymount in the 145 weight class by pin at 1:54.

In the 180 weight class, Randolph earned another victory via forfeit, with Jenna Moening picking up the points. However, Marymount's Kaylee Golightly capped off the dual in the 207 weight class with a dominant tech fall, defeating Mikayla Ozueh 10-0 in just 1:03.

In extra matches, the WildCats found some redemption. Swanson rebounded in the 145weight class with an impressive pin over Maison Callaway of Marymount in 2:39. Brigman also showcased her resilience in an additional match in the 124 weight class, pinning Ingrid Penn of Marymount in 4:14 to finish the day on a high note for Randolph.

The 'Cats are back in action at St. Andrews University for a dual meet on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
