LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men's swimming team hosted ODAC rival Hampden-Sydney and Gallaudet on Saturday afternoon at the Bateman Aquatic Center on Saturday. The WildCats came out on top of the Tigers 144-113 and the Bison 194-21.
Several WildCats had a pair of first place finishes. Ben Hiss (Forest, Va./Jefferson Forest) won the 50-yard breaststroke in a time of 29.15. He was also first in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:04.05. Hiss was second in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:25.56.
Jackson Hunt (Charlottesville, Va.) took first place in the 100-yard Butterfly with his time of 56.23. He would win the 50-yard Butterfly in 25.17.
Ryan Frasier touched the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.47. He took first in the 50 free in 22.39. Solomon Lewis (Forest, Va./Brookville) was behind him in second place with a time of 25.07.
Milo Fagan won the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:23.64. He was also first in the 200-yard IM in 2:09.08. Fagan was second in the 200 Yard freestyle with a time of 1:53.09.
Both WildCat relays came in first on the day. The 200 yard medley relay team of Ian Russell (Charlotte, N.C./CPCC), Hiss, Hunt, and Frasier were in first with a time of 1:43.69 and edged out Hampden-Sydney by .26 of a second. The 200 yard free relay team of Hunt, Fagan, Lewis, and Frasier came out on top 1:34.38.
Randolph travels to St. Mary's of Maryland on October 26. The WildCats will face the host Seahawks and Virginia Wesleyan.
