GREENSBORO, N.C.- The Randolph women's swimming team competed in a quad meet against host Greensboro, Guilford, and Salem College on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats defeated the Pride 149-49, the Quakers 156-56, and the Spirit 139-64.
Lexee Schellhammer (Ediinburg,Va./Sherando) won three events for the WildCats. She was first in the 200-yard backstroke with her time of 2:27.65. She touched the wall first in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:05.51 and was also first in the 50 yard freestyle in 27.37. Ava Skinner's (Lynchburg, Va./Brookville) time was 29.53.
Katelyn Spuchesi (King George, Va./King George HS) placed first in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 59.91. She also had a first place time of 1:12.95 in the 100 yard fly.
Taylor Eshelman (Huntersville, N.C./Hopewell) swam a first place time of 2:23.44 in the 200 yard freestyle. Maddie Dyl (Spotsylvania, Va./Courtland HS) was second in a time of 2:36.93.
Katie Scifres (Colorado Springs, Colo.) swam the 500-yard freestyle in 6:29.89 to come in first. Molly McNair (New South Wales, Austraila/Figtree) came in second in 6:45.29.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Dyl, Scifres, Spuchesi, and McNair swam a time of 2:06.22, The 200 medley relay team of Schellhammer, Skinner, Eshelman, and Dyl posted a time of 2:07.29.
Randolph will now prepare for the ODAC Championships which will be held next month in Greensboro.
