Box Score ASHLAND, Va.- The Randolph women's tennis team played Randolph-Macon on Tuesday afternoon in an early week matchup. The Yellow Jackets defeated the WildCats 9-0.

The WildCats had a couple of close decisions in doubles play. Valentina Santos (Valencia, Venezuela Instituto de Education Activa IDEA) and Jenna Fink (Madison Heights, Va./Amherst) went up against Camilla Thurman and Catherine Mowry at first doubles. Thurman and Mowry won 8-5. It was also an 8-5 decision at third doubles in favor of Randolph-Macon's Katie Sarnowski and Adele Huffman over Cassidy Bell (Monroe, Va./Amherst County) and Noura Elkhansa (Charleston, W.V. George Washington HS) 8-5.

In singles play, Thurman outlasted Santos 6-4, 6-2 at #1 singles. Sabrina Dickerson (Brookneal, Va.) won a game in both the first and second sets against Grace Holderman at #2 singles. Elkhansa won three games in the first set against Matty Grace Gilliam at #5 singles. Bell took a game in the first set and two games in the second set against Adele Huffman at #6 singles.

Randolph concludes its season at home against Hollins on Friday. The match begins at 3:30 p.m.
