LYNCHBURG, Va. The Randolph women's swimming team hosted its final meet of the season on Saturday as it faced Greensboro and William Peace at the Bateman Aquatic Center. The WildCats topped the Pride 120-39 and the Pacers 100-51.
Lexee Schellhammer (Edinburg, Va./Sherando) and Katie Scifres (Colorado Springs, Colo.) both won a pair of events to lead the 'Cats. Schellhammer placed first in the 200 free in a time of 2:16.71 and the 200 yard backstroke in 2:21.63. Scirfres took first in both long distance events; she touched the wall in a time of 22:16 in the 1,650-yard freestyle and posted a time of 6:34.22 in the 500 yard freestyle.
Katelyn Spuchesi (King George, Va./King George) came in first place in the 100-yard freestyle in 57.92. Ava Skinner (Lynchburg, Va./Brookville) was also first in the 200 yard breast with her final time of 2:56.02.
Taylor Eshelman (Huntersville, N.C./Hopewell) came in second in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.91.
The 200 medley relay team of Schellhammer, Skinner, Eshelman, and Spuchesi came in first in a collective time of 2:03.03.
The WildCats will next compete at the Pacer Invitational on November 16-18.
