VIRGINA BEACH, VA.- The Randolph women's swimming team competed at Virginia Wesleyan in a tr-meet along with St. Mary's College of Maryland. The WildCats lost to the Marlins 146-56 and to the Seahawks 113-91.

Katelyn Spuchesi (King George, Va./King George HS) won a pair of events for the WildCats. She took first in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:50.03 and was the only swimming to finish under six minutes. Spuchesi swam the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:29.20.

Lexee Schelhammer (Edinburg, Va./Sherando HS) came in second in the 100 backstroke in a time of 1:05.06. She was also third in the 100-yard freestyle with her time of 59.13.

Randolph hosts Hollins and Sweet Briar on October 27. The meet begins at 6:00 p.m.
