Women’s Swimming Tops Greensboro and Ferrum

GREENSBORO, N.C.- The Randolph women's swimming competed against Greensboro and Ferrum in their regular season finale on Saturday. The WildCats topped the Pride 116-28 and the Panthers 116-30.

Taylor Eshelman (Huntersville, N.C./Hopewell) led the 'Cats with three first place finishes on the afternoon. She touched the wall first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.12. Eshleman led the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:42.20 and the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:02.45.

Katie Scifres (Colorado Springs, Colo.) came in first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 13:03.50. Molly McNair (New South Wales Austrailia) was behind her in 13:45.10. Scifres also won the 500-yard freestyle in 6:26.31. McNair posted a time of 6:52.90.

Ava Skinner (Lynchburg, Va.) placed first in the 200-yard breaststroke with her time of 3:02.55. Eva Pontius claimed the 200-yard freestyle in 2:24.14. Kai Miller (Richmond, Va.) was second in a time of 2:30.56.

The 400-yard medley relay team of Pontius, Skinner, Eshleman and Miller had a sub-5-minute time of 4:59.20. The 400-yard freestyle relay squad of Miller, Scfires, McNair, and Skinner had a sub-4-minute time of 3:58.50.

The WildCats will now prepare for the ODAC Championships next month.
