Men’s Swimming Defeats Greensboro in Regular Season Finale

GREENSBORO, N.C. The Randolph men's swimming team returned to the pool for the first time in 2023 as the WildCats traveled to Greensboro.  Randolph defeated the Pride 129-17.

Ben Hiss (Forest, Va.) placed first in three events on the afternoon. His time of 2.07.57 in the 200-yard Butterfly set a new Randolph record. Hiss also had first place finishes in the 200 freestyle (2:09.55) and the 500 freestyle (5:40.87).

Josh Roberts (Chesapeake, Va.) swam the 1000-yard freestyle in 11:24.62. He also swam a time of 2:20.36 in the 200-yard backstroke.

Daniel Allee (Alexandria, Va.) touched the wall first in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.92. Sam Hey (Black Mountain, N.C.) placed first in the 200-yard IM in 2:14.11 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:23.49.

The 400-yard medley relay team of Aiden Tuck (Lynchburg, Va./Brookville), Hey, Ethan Mayfield (Evington, Va./Brookville), and Solomon Lewis (Forest, Va./Brookville) swam a time of 4:22.26. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Hiss, Lewis, Roberts, and Allee had a time of 3:46.92.

The WildCats now will prepare for the ODAC Championships next month.
