VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.- The Randolph women's tennis team traveled east to Virginia Wesleyan to face the Marlins at the Everett Tennis Center. VWU won the match 7-2.
The WildCats lost both of their doubles matches with #3 doubles forfeited.
Randolph's wins came at #3 and #4 singles. Bailey Livingston (Evington, Va.) defeated Kristina Abrams 6-0, 6-2 at third singles. Zeinab Elkhansa (Charleston, W.V./George Washington) went three sets with her match against Kaitlyn Totman at fourth singles. Totman won the first set 6-0. Elkhansa recovered to take the second set 6-2 and then win the super tiebreaker 10-7.
The WildCats' next match is next Saturday at home against Randolph-Macon. Start time is at 1:00 p.m.
