LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women's tennis team played Johnson and Wales in its first match of the spring season on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats won by the score of 7-1.

Zeinab Elkhansa (Charleston, W.V/George Washington) and Valentina Santos (Valencia, Venuzuela/Institute de Education Activa Idea) had a close win at first doubles as they held off the pair of Eboni Montague and Kendal Conrad 8-7 with the tiebreak going 7-3. Sabrina Dickerson and Cassidy Bell (Monroe, Va./Amherst County) won 8-4 over Maira Teurel and Miranda Montes. Jenna Fink (Madison Heights, Va./Amherst) and Bailey Livingston (Evington, Va.) swept Ginger Gibson and Hannah Stokes 8-0.

Santos was a 6-0, 6-1 winner over Teurel at first singles. Dickerson defeated Conrad 6-3, 6-1 at third singles. Livingston was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at #4. Bell had a close match at #5 as she held off Montes 6-4, 7-5. Fink was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at #6.

Randolph travels to Pfeiffer on Sunday. Start time of the match is 1:00 p.m.
