WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Randolph men's swimming team traveled to the nation's capital to face Gallaudet on Saturday. The WildCats bested the Bison 153-59.
Josh Roberts (Chesapeake, Va.) led Randolph with three first-place finishes. In the 1000 yard freestyle, he was the fastest swimmer as he posted a time of 11:47.36. He had a top time of 28.92 in the 50 yard backstroke and a first place result in the 200 yard backstroke of 2:12.87. Aiden Tuck (Lynchburg, Va.) was second in both events with times of 32.12 and 2:27.46, respectively.
Ben Hiss (Forest, Va.) touched the wall first in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:55.67. He swam a time of 29.87 in the 50 yard breaststroke.
Daniel Allee (Alexandria, Va.) was the fastest swimmer in the 200 yard butterfly with his time of 2:26.81 and the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 55.67. Ethan Mayfield (Evington, Va.) was second in both events with times of 2:32.26 and 57.87. He took first in the 50 yard fly in a time of 28.41.
Solomon Lewis (Forest, Va.) came in first in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.71. He also had a time of 6:06.21 in the 500 yard freestyle.
Sam Hey (Black Mountain, N.C.) had a first place swim in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:20.93. He was also first in the 100 yard IM with his time of 1:02.22.
The 200 yard medley relay team of Tuck, Hey, Mayfield, and Lewis had a top time of 1:55.50. The 200 yard freestyle squad of Hiss, Roberts, Lewis, and Allee swam a time of 1:40.84
The WildCats are idle until November 18 when they compete at the Pacer Invitational.
