Cary, N.C.- The Randolph men's swimming team competed at the two-day Pacer Invitational hosted by William Peace on Friday and Saturday. The WildCats placed seventh out of nine teams.
The highest finish came from Ben Hiss (Forest, Va.) in the 200 yard IM. He came in sixth in the final with a time of 2:01.71. He also came in eighth in the 200 yard breaststroke in a time of 2:17.90. Hiss placed 10th in the 100 yard breast with a time of 1:00.68. Fellow WildCat Sam Hey (Black Mountain, N.C.) came in 17th in a time of 1:03.19.
Josh Roberts (Chesapeake, Va.) broke his own record in the 200 yard back with a time of 2:08.64. He swam a time of 59 seconds flat in the 100 yard backstroke to come in 15th.
Aiden Tuck's (Lynchburg, Va.) best finish came in the 200 yard backstroke. He placed 15th with a time of 2:22.23
Daniel Allee (Alexandria, Va.) was 17th in the 200 yard butterfly in a time of 2:12.24. Ethan Mayfield (Evington, Va.) came in 13th in the 400 yard IM in 4:45.86.
The highest relay finish came in the 200 yard freestyle relay. The team of Hiss, Roberts, Solomon Lewis (Forest, Va.) and Allee placed ninth with a time of 1:35.57.
The WildCats are back in action on November 29 when they host Ferrum.
