LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men's swimming team hosted Bridgewater and Warren Wilson on Friday evening at the Bateman Aquatic Center. The WildCats topped the Owls 150-52 and lost to the Eagles 195-57.
In the 1000 yard freestyle, Ben Hiss (Forest, Va.) set a new program record with a time of 10:50.63. He also swam a time of 29.37 in the 50 yard breaststroke and 1:00.37 in the 100 yard IM.
Josh Roberts (Chesapeake, Va.) was second in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:01.48. He was also third in the 500 yard freestyle with his time of 5:47.30 and third in the 50 yard backstroke in a time of 28.83.
Daniel Allee (Alexandria, Va.) took second place in the 100 yard freestyle with a final time of 53.87. He swam a time of 26.41 in the 50 yard butterfly and 24.31 in the 50 yard freestyle.
Aiden Tuck (Lynchburg, Va.) touched the wall in a time of 1:02.69 in the 100 yard butterfly. Tuck also had a time of 29.94 in the 50 yard backstroke. Fellow WildCat Sam Hey (Black Mountain, N.C.) swam a 1:07 time in the 100 butterfly. Hey also swam 2:02.15 in the 200 yard freestyle and 1:07.42 in the 100 yard breaststroke.
The 200 medley relay team of Roberts, Hey, Tuck, and Solomon Lewis (Forest, Va.) finished in a time of 1:50.37. The 200 yard freestyle relay team of Allee, Lewis, Ethan Mayfield (Evington, Va.), and Hiss swam a time of 1:40.44.
Randolph travels to the nation's capital on Saturday for a dual meet against Gallaudet.
