VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.- The Randolph men's lacrosse team made the rare early week road trip across Virginia to Virginia Wesleyan as the iIldCats faced the Marlins on Monday. VWU bested the 'Cats 27-3.
Jack Dolan (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) had a hand in all three Randolph goals on the evening. He scored twice and assisted on a third. Matthew Piascik (Midlothian, Va./Trinity Episcopal School) scored the WildCats other goal, the game's first, under the 14 minute mark of the first half.
Zach Miller (Louisa, Va./Fork Union Military Academy) assisted on Dolan's goal with 5:32 remaining in the third quarter. Kent Snoddy (Palmyra, Va./Fluvanna County) assisted on Dolan's second goal of the game with 5:06 left to play in the fourth quarter.
Miller had a team-high six groundball pickups and was 8-of-13 on face offs. William Doyle (Louisville, KY/Louisville Collegiate) had five groundballs for the 'Cats. He also had 19 saves. Nick Pietro (Spotsylvania, Va./Massaponax) added four groundballs and two caused turnovers.
Randolph hosts Bridgewater at WildCat Stadium this coming Wednesday. Game time will be at 4:00 p.m.
