ASHLAND, Va.- The Randolph women's lacrosse team concluded its 2021 season on Saturday as the WildCats faced Randolph-Macon. The Yellow Jackets won the game by the score of 22-1.
The WildCats' lone goal came from
Sarah Perry (Rocky Mount, Va./Franklin County) off an assist from
Sophia Cirone (Stuart, Fla./South Fork) with 24:39 remaining in the first half. It was Perry's 49th score of the season. Its the most goals scored in one season for Randolph since Taylor Klevenz had 51 goals in 2015. Her 54 points this season are sixth and her 124 career goals are currently second.
Perry also had two groundballs and two draw controls won. Her 67 draw controls won is a new season-best and is second-best in program history.
Cirone picked up two groundballs, caused two turnovers, and won six draw controls. She finishes with 62 draws won, which is fourth-most in season.
Julyann Marx (Abington, Md./Joppatowne) had two groundballs and two caused turnovers in the game.
Kaylyn Collier (Newport, Tenn./Gate City) also had two groundball pickups.
