Men’s Tennis Falls to W&L in ODAC Match

LYNCHBURG, Va
.- The Randolph men's tennis team hosted Washington and Lee in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference match on Tuesday afternoon. The Generals won by the score of 9-0.

The WildCats won two games in the doubles portion of the match. Bhuvan Ambekallu (Karnataka, India/Bethany High) and Colby Cook (Smithfield, Va./Smithfield) fell to the pair of Alex Fedor and Evan Brady 8-2.

Nicolas Alvarado (Santiago, Chile/Colegio Olimpo) was the last to finish in singles play and was bested by Fedor 6-4, 6-1. Alex Kulvivat (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) fell 6-1, 6-1 against Brady at second singles. Ambekallu claimed two games in the second set facing Connor Coleman at third singles. Cook and Ramiro Chavez-Montoya (Roseland, Va./Nelson County HS) both dropped 6-0, 6-0 decisions to their opponents.

Randolph is back on the courts again this coming Saturday when it hosts Roanoke. Match start time is 1:00 p.m.
