Women’s Tennis Falls to Pfeiffer 7-2

Bailey Livingston won at third singles 4-6, 6-0, 10-4

LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women's tennis team hosted Pfeiffer on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons won over the WildCats by the score of 7-2.

Pfeiffer won all three doubles matches. Randolph did win two games at first doubles and three games at third doubles.

In singles play, Bailey Livingston (Evington, Va.) needed a super tiebreaker in her third singles match with Elithe Hudson. Livingston dropped the first set 6-4 but came back to take the second set 6-0 and the super tiebreaker 10-4. Cassidy Bell (Monroe, Va./Amherst County) won her first collegiate match 6-0, 7-6 at fifth singles over Taylor Brashears.

Heather Whetzel (Grottoes, Va./Harrisonburg) had a tough match against Darby Sherill at second singles. She lost 6-4, 6-1. Zeinab Elkhansa (Charleston, W.V./George Washington) lost a good match against Anna Branson 6-2, 6-3 at first singles. Amanda Jagdeo (South Ozone Park, NY/Flushing HS) lost 6-3, 6-1 at sixth singles to Delaney Geygan.

Randolph is back in action next Saturday March 13 as it hosts Roanoke. Match time is at 1:00 p.m.
