LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women's tennis team did not have to travel far for its match on Friday as the team made the short drive across town to Lynchburg. The Hornets won the cross-city battle by the score of 9-0.
In doubles play, Zeinab Elkhansa (Charlestown, W.V./George Washington) and Bailey Livingston (Evington, Va.) took on the pair of Alissa Anderson and Caroline Guill. Elkhansa and Livingston both won two games over the Hornet duo as they fell 8-2.
In the singles portion, Livingston won a game in the first set and two in the second set in her match with Alexa Hardesty at third singles. At fourth singles, Jenna Fink (Madison Heights, Va./Amherst) won a game in the first and second set against Grace Teefy. Cassidy Bell (Monroe, Va./Amherst County) won a game in her second set against Emma Pinola at fifth singles.
Randolph is back on the courts tomorrow as it hosts Pfieffer. The match will start at 1:00 p.m.
