St. Mary's. Md.- The Randolph men's lacrosse team opened its 2020 season on the road at St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday afternoon. The Seahawks won by the score of 22-1.
Jake Helsley (Miidlothian, Va./Trinity Episcopal) scored his first collegiate goal on an assist by Gage Tutko (Manassas, Va./Osbourn) in the second quarter.
Zach Miller (Louisa, Va./Fork Union Military Acad.) picked up five ground balls and caused two turnovers. He was 8-of-20 on faceoffs. CJ Berry (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) also caused two turnovers for the WildCats.
Corey Boswell (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point) had 17 saves in goal.
Randolph's next game is its home opener on February 22 against Averett. Game time will be at 4:00 p.m.
