MISENHEIMER, N.C.- The Randolph men's tennis team opened its spring season on Saturday against Pfeiffer. The WildCats lost by the score of 9-0.

Despite the score, there were some close battles. At first doubles, Alex Kulviat (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) and Karson Healy (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) lost a close decision to Raul Ruiz and Dylan Master 8-5.

Kulviat fought hard against Benedikt Pfeiffer at second single but was edged out 6-2, 6-4. Nicolas Alvardo fell at first singles to Ruiz 6-0, 6-3.

The WildCats host Averett next Saturday. The start of the match will be 1:00 p.m.
