LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men's swimming team hosted Hampden-Sydney in the final regular season meet on Friday night at the RAD pool. The Tigers edged out the WildCats 99-89.
Jeffrey Oliveri (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) placed first in two events for Randolph. He won the 50 free in 22.27 and the 100 free in 51.21. Adriano De Angelis (Miami, Fla./Hargrave Military Academy) came in third in the 50 free (25.25). Dan Allee (Alexandria, Va./Jacksonville Lighthouse) was third in the 100 free (54.64) and Conner Dobbins (Palmyra, Va./Fulvanna County) was fifth (1:03.62).
Josh Roberts took first in the 1,000 free in 11:30.24. Andrew Scales (Tega Cay, S.C./Fort Mill) won the 100 back with a time of 1:02.31. Oscar Onoszko (Clover, S.C./Clover HS) touched the wall first in the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.43. Dobbins was fourth with a time of 1:19.36.
The 400 free relay team of Oliveri, Scales, Allee, and Onoszko finished on top in 3:28.89. The 400 medley relay quartet of Roberts, Onoszko, Pax Allen (Lynchburg, Va.), and De Angelis had a final time of 4:08.16.
Randolph will now prepare for the ODAC Championships February 6-9 in Greensboro, N.C.
