VIRGINIA BEACH, VA.- The Randolph men's swimming team faced Virginia Wesleyan in an ODAC dual meet on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats had solid performances throughout as they took first in 11 events as they won by the score of 144-72.
Oscar Onoszsko (Clover, S.C./Clover) was one of two WildCats to win three events. He took first in the 100 breast (1:06.15), 200 breast (2:39.39), and 1000 free (12:06.13).
Andrew Scales (Tega Cay, S.C./Fort Mill) also was a winner in three races. He was first in the 200 fly (2:25.80), 100 free (53.36), and the 100 fly (1:00.33).
Jeffrey Oliveri (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) touched the wall first in the 50 free in a time of 23.85. Dan Allee was the winner of the 200 free in 2:03.87. Josh Roberts was first in the 500 free with a time of 5:40.55.
Two relay teams also won their events. The 200 medley relay team of Roberts, Oliveri, Scales, and Conner Dobbins (Palmyra, Va./Fulvanna County) posted a top time of 1:52.56. The 200 free relay squad of Allee, Onoszko, Adriano DeAngelis (Miami, Fla./Hargrave Military Academy), and Pax Allen (Lynchburg, Va./Anglo-American School of Sofia) were the winners in 1:38.37.
The WildCats return to the pool on November 2 when they travel to Ferrum for a quad meet with the host Panthers, Greensboro, and Guilford. Start time is at 1:00 p.m.
