In her first competition as a member of the women's wrestling team, Jennings made a deep run in the 124 weight class at the Trojan Open hosted by Mount Olive last weekend. Jennings started her day strong with a first-round fall over Say Paw of Brewton-Parker College in just 1:05. She continued to shine in her quarterfinal match, pinning Jasmin Sawyer of Lindsey Wilson at the 4:17 mark. Jennings faced her toughest opponent in the semifinals, where Abigail Vanderheyden of Lindsey Wilson claimed victory by fall at 5:56. In the consolation semifinal, Jennings fought hard but was ultimately defeated by Teresa Canady of Pembroke RTC via a 15-4 tech fall.
