At the ITA Southeast Regionals last weekend, Kersten competed in the Championship draw in singles play. She won her first match 6-1, 6-0 and then her second match 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the Round of 16 and become the first Randolph women's tennis player to do so. In the Round 16, she had a tough match against her opponent from Johns Hopkins falling by the score of 6-4, 6-1. Paired with Lize van Veen, the duo won their doubles opener 8-4.
