WINCHESTER, Va. – The Randolph College women's cross country team finished 11th out of 12 teams at the 2018 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships on Saturday morning, hosted by Shenandoah University at the Kernstown Battlefield.
Leo Galopin (Rye Brook, N.Y./Ethel Walker) clocked the fastest Randolph time, covering the six-kilometer course in a time of 31:26.4. Teammate Ermela Wurgesa (Clarksburg, Md./Clarksburg) followed behind in 31:42.4 while Michaela Saunders (Lynchburg, Va./E.C. Glass) was the first Randolph runner to cross the finish line, posting a time of 32:06.3. Erin Schriever (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) and Liz Beairsto (Bowie, Md./Bowie) rounded out the Randolph field finishing in 32:58.0 and 39:32.9, respectively.
Washington and Lee University took the ODAC crown with 34 points while the University of Lynchburg earned the runner-up position with 39 points. Bridgewater College rounded out the top three with 83 points.
