GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Randolph College women's cross country team competed in the Women's University 5k race at the 35th Annual Greensboro XC Invitational held at Hagan Stone Park on Saturday.
Junior Leo Galopin (Rye Brook, N.Y./Ethel Walker) ran the fastest time for Randolph, completing the five-kilometer race in a time of 25:22.11 to finish 33rd overall. Ermela Wurgesa (Clarksburg, Md./Clarksburg) was the second WildCat to cross the finish line, covering the course in a time of 28:16.54 while teammate Erin Schriever (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) followed behind in a time of 30:54.98. Liz Beairsto (Bowie, Md./Bowie) rounded out the Randolph harriers, crossing the finish line in a time of 32:11.10.
The WildCats will take some time off before competing at the Queen City Invitational on Friday, Oct. 12.
