Women’s Cross Country Competes at James Madison Open Invitational

Leo Galopin runs in VA Four-Miler race

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Randolph College women's cross country team participated in the James Madison Open Invitational on Saturday morning at the New Market Battlefield.

Leo Galopin (Rye Brook, N.Y./Ethel Walker) was the first Randolph runner to cross the finish line as the junior finished the 5200 meter course in a time of 29:23. Ermela Wurgesa (Clarksburg, Md./Clarksburg) was the second WildCat to finish the race, clocking in a time of 30:15, while Erin Schriever (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) rounded out the Randolph field, locking down a time of 32:52.

The WildCats return to action on Friday, Sept. 14 when they compete at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational.
