Cross Country Releases Schedule
LYNCHBURG, VA – On Tuesday, the Randolph College cross country teams released the schedule that the teams will run this fall. The season begins during the first weekend of September and stretches all over the region.
The first meet will be the ODAC Preview, which will be hosted by Virginia Wesleyan University in Virginia Beach. With the Marlins set to host the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship at the end of October, VWU will host the ODAC Preview in order for runners to get a chance to experience the course. The opening race will take place on September 1.
After getting a week off, the WildCats will travel to North Carolina during three of the next four weekends. The lone time the 'Cats stay in Virginia during that stretch is during Homecoming and Family Weekend. The Virginia 10-Miler will be run on September 23, and as usual, the Virginia 4-Miler will end on the steps of Main Hall. The WildCats will join thousands of runners in completing the demanding course.
Following the Hagan Stone Classic (Pleasant Garden, NC) and the Royals XC Challenge (Charlotte, NC), the WildCats will once again travel to the eastern part of the Commonwealth. Randolph will run in the CNU Invite, hosted by Christopher Newport University on October 14.
After a week of rest and preparation, the teams will conclude the season back in Virginia Beach, taking part in the ODAC Championships.
