FOREST, Va. – Three women's tennis players from the Randolph College women's tennis team earned All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors, announced Monday by the conference office.
Aubrey Hawn (Mays Landing, N.J./Oakcrest) earned All-ODAC First Team honors at No. 3 singles and at No. 1 doubles alongside teammate Keyu Jin (Kunming, China/No. 8 Middle School), who was also named to the All-ODAC Second Team at No. 1 singles, while Ashley Schmitz (Keswick, Va./Homeschool) garnered All-ODAC Second Team honors at No. 2 singles.
Hawn went 10-1 in the No. 3 spot in singles play, ending the season with a 13-5 overall record. She joined up with Jin at No. 1 doubles where the pair went 10-6 while fashioning an overall 11-8 record. Jin finished the season with a 14-6 singles record, going 12-4 at the No. 1 spot and was a consistent No. 1 doubles player, concluding the year with a 12-8 individual record.
After starting in the No. 3 spot in singles, Schmitz moved up to No. 2 and went 11-2 on the season, fashioning a 17-4 overall singles record.
The WildCats finished 11-6 overall and 7-4 in the ODAC. Randolph defeated Bridgewater College, 5-4, in a tight ODAC Quarterfinal round before falling to eventual ODAC Champion Washington and Lee University, 5-0, in the semifinals.
