LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Randolph College women's tennis team locked down the No. 5 seed in the upcoming 2018 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women's Tennis Tournament.
The WildCats found themselves in a three-way tie with Roanoke College and Bridgewater College with the Eagles winning a head-to-head tiebreaker to claim the fourth seed while the Maroons were seeded sixth.
Washington and Lee University earned the top seed and will host No. 8 Sweet Briar College while No. 2 Randolph-Macon College will host No. 7 Virginia Wesleyan University for their quarterfinal match. Third seed Lynchburg is the final host for the quarterfinal round where they will take on Roanoke.
After falling to the Eagles, 8-1, in the regular season, the WildCats look for redemption as Bridgewater will play host to Randolph tomorrow at the Mapp Tennis Courts. The winner will move on to play the winner of the Sweet Briar/Washington and Lee match-up.
The four winners from the quarterfinal rounds will head out to Virginia Wesleyan for the semifinals and finals. The Marlins will play host to both the men's and women's final fours on Saturday and Sunday, May 5-6.
