LEXINGTON, Va. – The Randolph College women's swimming team closed out the 2017 portion of its season with a sixth-place finish at the Washington and Lee Invitational.
The WildCats earned 30 points. The host Generals won the meet with 1,236.5 points while York (Pa.) College earned the runner up spot with 793.5 points. Messiah College rounded out the top three with 664 points.
The 100-yard freestyle saw a large Randolph line-up with Shelby Lutz posting the fastest time for the WildCats as the senior touched the pad in 1:25.12 with Georgia LeGrand-Carney and Golden Dennison following in 1:26.23 and 1:26.31, respectively. Tabitha Stone rounded out the Randolph field with a time of 1:38.97.
Leah Dorman was the lone WildCat competitor in the 200-yard breaststroke, locking down a time of 3:30.57.
The WildCats will break for the winter holiday before returning to Washington and Lee for their first dual meet of the new year.
