Women’s Swimming Falls at Roanoke Quad Meet

SALEM, Va.  – Golden Dennison and Leah Dorman each set personal bests and school standards as the Randolph College women's swimming team fell to Roanoke College, Ferrum College, and Hollins University in a quad meet hosted by the Maroons on Saturday afternoon.

The WildCats fell to host Roanoke, 154-24, dropped a 129-29 decision to Hollins and fell, 103-33, to Ferrum.

Dennison defeated her previous time in the 500-yard freestyle by two seconds as the junior swimmer touched the pad in 9:00.99 while Dorman set a new school standard in the 100-yard breaststroke with a mark of 1:37.52, shaving off .35 seconds off of her previous time.

The WildCats closed out the meet with a fourth-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay as the foursome of Shelby Lutz, Dennison, Dorman and Georgia LeGrand-Carney locked down a time of 13:41.54.

Randolph is back in action on Saturday, Nov. 18 when it competes in a quad meet hosted by Hollins University.
