Women’s Swimming Falls at Bridgewater, 135-65

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Randolph College women's swimming team fell to Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rival Bridgewater College on Saturday afternoon in Nininger Pool. The Eagles scored top points in almost every event to defeat the WildCats, 135-65.

Golden Dennison and Leah Dorman each earned third-place finishes in the sprint events with Dennison locking down third-place points in the 50 backstroke with a time of 51.89 seconds while Dorman placed third in the 50 breaststroke, touching the pad in 50.74 seconds.

The WildCats had a 4-5-6 finish in the 50 freestyle as Dorman placed fourth in 39.78 while Shelby Lutz and Teliya Stevenson locked down times of 47.54 seconds and 51.42 seconds, respectively.

Randolph would once again collect a 4-5-6 finish, this time in the 100 freestyle with Katie Thomas leading the way with a time of 1:31.69 while Lutz clocked in at 1:55.97 and Tabitha Stone finished in 2:00.41.

The WildCats return to action on Saturday, Nov. 11 when they travel to Roanoke for a quad meet.
