Tough-Mid Season Stretch Highlights Women's Soccer 2017 Schedule
LYNCHBURG, VA – On Monday, the Randolph College women's soccer team released its 2017 schedule. The 16-game slate features seven home and nine away games, including one very difficult stretch halfway through the year.
The WildCats begin the season at Ferrum College on September 1. The nonconference game begins at 7 p.m. and will be the first of six on the year. After another contest on the road, the 'Cats will play their home opener on September 9 against Marymount University. That kickoff will be at 1 p.m.
Randolph will play one more at home before heading on the road for three of the next four. However, the single game at WildCat Stadium will be the ODAC opener. Emory & Henry College will make the trip on September 23, with it being the second game of a Family Weekend doubleheader. It will begin at 3:30 p.m.
Following a road game at Randolph-Macon College, the WildCats will embark on their difficult stretch. Randolph plays three-straight against teams that played in the 2016 NCAA Tournament. Washington and Lee University comes to Rivermont Avenue on September 30, and the 'Cats will go to Lynchburg College on October 5 and Virginia Wesleyan University two days later.
The WildCats will finish out the season with three of five coming at home. The home finale will be against Eastern Mennonite University on October 21. It will be a rematch of last year's ODAC First Round game, in which the 'Cats earned a 1-0 win. The regular season finale will be the following Wednesday at Sweet Briar College.
