GRAND LAKE, Colo.- On Monday afternoon, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its 2018 Division III Honor Roll in conjunction with Zag Sports. Randolph was represented by Katie Jones (Stafford, Va./Mountain View).
To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. Jones was one of 639 student-athletes from 189 different institutions that were honored.
Jones was a three-year member of the WildCats. She started 31 of the 45 games that she participated in. As a defender, she picked up 30 groundballs and caused 16 turnovers.
Jones was in the 3-2 Dual Degree Program at Randolph majoring in Engineering with a minor in Math and Chemistry. This past spring, she was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, which is the National College Athlete Honor Society. This summer, she is interning with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alabama and plans to continue her education at The University of Washington St. Louis as she majors in Chemical Engineering.
