Guilford Gets the Best of Women's Lacrosse in ODAC Play

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Led by the nation's reigning top scorer, Guilford's offense was too much for Randolph today, 19-6.

Junior Taylor Klevenz (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill), who came into the game as the ODAC's leading point-scorer, had half of Randolph's goals to earn her sixth straight multi-goal game.

First-year Leah Hughes (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) had her first career two-goal effort, while senior Melanie Eisele (Kennett Square, Pa./Sanford School) wrapped up the scoring with her 22nd and 23rd markers of the year.

Klevenz, senior Ashley Edwards (Sumerduck, Va./Liberty-Bealeton) and sophomore Taylor Riccardi (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge Co.) each had helpers as Randolph fell to 4-4 on the season.

Junior Samantha Fagone (Bayshore, N.Y./Bayshore) added 10 saves to her league-high total in the effort.

E'leyna Garcia, who led the nation in goals in 2013, and Lily Colley each had five goals and three assists in the effort for the Quakers. Garcia leads the ODAC in goals, while Colley is tops in assists. Colley's effort pushed her past Klevenz for the lead in points, as well.

Randolph is back in action on Sunday, hosting Oberlin.
