    SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The 2019 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) is taking place at the New York State Fairgrounds Expo Center. Randolph equestrian had two riders compete and their portion of competition has completed.

    The 2019 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championship will be held in Syracuse, New York Thursday through Sunday. For those unable to attend in person, USEF.org will capture every minute of the action at the New York State Fairgrounds Expo Center via live stream.
  • Equestrian Places Third at ODAC Championship; Tidmore Named Scholar-Athlete

    BRIDGEWATER, Va.- Four Members of the Randolph equestrian team competed at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship held at Bridgewater College on Saturday in the hopes that the WildCats could defend their 2018 title. Randolph came up just short on the day as it finished in third place with 14 points. Sweet Briar was the champion with 17 points followed by Hollins with 16.

    CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- The Randolph Equestrian team competed at the Zone 4 Championships at the University of Virginia on Saturday. The team finished in fourth place behind Emory and Henry, Sweet Briar, and Goucher.

    CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- Six members of the Randolph Equestrian team competed at the IHSA Regional Championships at the University of Virginia on Sunday. Two riders claimed championships with one earning a reserve championship.
  • Equestrian Clinches Regional Championship in Final Regular Season IHSA Show

    CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- The Randolph Equestrian team competed in its final regular season IHSA show on Saturday at the University of Virginia. The WildCats were the Reserve Champion on the day and in the process clinched their third regional championship in a row. Randolph is the first program since Hollins in the mid-2000s to win at least three regional championships in a row.

    FREDERICKSBURG, VA.- The Randolph equestrian team returned to competition for the first time in 2019 as they competed at the Winter Tournament of Champions hosted by the University of Mary Washington on Saturday. The WildCats placed seventh overall. Savannah College of Art and Design was the overall winner with Bridgewater the Reserve Champions.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph Equestrian team concluded the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday as the WildCats competed at the University of Lynchburg’s show. Randolph garnered 32 points to fall into a three-way tie for third place with Bridgewater and Washington and Lee. The University of Virginia was first overall with 35 points.

    BRIDGEWATER, Va.- The Randolph equestrian team continued its strong start to the season as it was the Reserve High Point team at Bridgewater. The WildCats accumulated 29 points as Washington and Lee was the overall winner with 32 points. Randolph was the only team to have points in every division.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph Equestrian team competed in its first Intercollegiate Horse Show Association competition on Saturday at the University of Virginia. The WildCats came out on top as victors with 38 total points and edged out the Cavaliers who had 35.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The defending Old Dominion Athletic Conference Champion Randolph equestrian team began its 2018-2019 season with the Preseason Tournament of Champions on Saturday morning. The team just finished out of any ribbons but still had a strong showing.

    HARRISBURG, Pa. – Randolph junior Abby Carpenter (Danville, Va./George Washington) competed in the Individual Walk Trot Equitation on the Flat on Friday afternoon at the 51st Annual Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Horse Show held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. Carpenter had a strong showing as she came in sixth place.

Sophomores Caroline Houston (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) and Kirby Tidmore (Nashville, Tenn.) represented the WildCats.

The quartet was able to ride the WildCats to the conference title.

    CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- The Randolph equestrian team turned in a solid performance at its last IHSA show of the season on Saturday at the University of Virginia. The WildCats were second to the Cavaliers on the day but clinched the overall regional title for the second year in a row. Randolph secured the region with 311 total points accumulated throughout the season. UVA was second with 293 points.
