Equestrian Wins Bridgewater Show

BRIDGEWATER, Va.- The Randolph equestrian team traveled to Bridgewater for an IHSA show on Saturday. The WildCats had their highest point total of the year at 43 as they won the eight-team competition.

Kirby Tidmore (Nashville, Tenn.) had victories in both the Open Flat and Open Fences to earn High Point Rider of the day. In the process, she qualified for Regionals in the Open Flat.

Molly McLaughlin (Owings, Md./Northern) won her Intermediate Fence Class and was third in the Intermediate Flat. Michelle Smith (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) was second in that event.

Liz Bearisto (Bowie, Md./Bowie) won in Novice Flat while Taylor Price was third and Adelle Novak (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) was fifth. Price added a yellow ribbon in Novice Fences.

Sidney Clark (St. Augustine, Fla./Smithson Valley) took the victory in Advanced Walk Trot Canter. Abby Carpenter (Danville, Va./George Washington) claimed the yellow. Gillian Golda (Butler, N.J./Butler) was second in Beginner Walk Trot Canter. Rikki Caretta rode to a second place finish in Walk Trot.

The team will compete at Hollins next week.
