Houston, Tidmore Compete at IHSA Championships

HARRISBURG, Pa.- Two riders from the Randolph equestrian team competed on Thursday in the first day of competition at the 51st Annual Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Horse Show held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. Sophomores Caroline Houston (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) and Kirby Tidmore (Nashville, Tenn.) represented the WildCats.

Both riders competed in a class of 16. Houston participated in the Novice over Fences in the morning. She came in fifth place. Tidmore earned Honorable Mention in Novice on Flat.

Abby Carpenter (Danville, Va./George Washington) is the third Randolph rider competing and her event, the Walk Trot Canter, will be tomorrow. Carpenter will compete in the 1:00-3:00 p.m. timeframe.
