Equestrian Takes First At Bridgewater Show

BRIDGEWATER, Va.- The Randolph equestrian team competed in its third show this month as it traveled to Bridgewater on Saturday. The WildCats came out on top with a first place finish. Randolph totaled 35 points as it edged out the University of Virginia's 33.

Kirby Tidmore (Nashville, Tenn.) and Caroline Houston (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) both had first place rides for Randolph. Tidmore was the winner of the Open Fences with Houston taking the Intermediate Flat. Houston also was Reserve Champion in Open Fences with Houston doing the same in Intermediate Flat. Tidmore was the Reserve High Point Rider for the day.

Leia Stuart and Molly McLaughlin (Owings, Md./Northern) were both second in Novice Jumps. McLaughlin was also fourth in the Novice Flat.

Kate Pizzini (Montgomery Village, Md./Long Beach) took third in the Advanced Walk Trot Canter with Abby Carpenter (Danville, Va./George Washington) third in the Beginner Walk Trot Canter. Katie Brown (Winchester, Va./James Wood) was third in the Walk Trot while Kyle May was fourth.

Other results included Carly Stirewalt placing fourth in Intermediate Jumps and Alivia Kilroy fifth in Novice Jumps.

Randolph closes out the month of February with a show at Lynchburg College next Saturday. Start time is 10:00 a.m.
