Equestrian Second at Hollins IHSA

ROANOKE, Va.- The Randolph Equestrian team competed at the Hollins Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) show on Sunday. The WildCats placed second with 33 points and not far behind overall winner Washington and Lee's 36 points.

There were three 'Cats who placed first on the day. Kirby Tidmore (Nashville, Tenn.) was the winner in the Open Fences with Caroline Houston (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) winning Intermediate Fences and Molly McLaughlin (Owings, MD./Northern) claiming Novice Fences. Tidmore also was third in the Open Flat while Houston came in fourth in the Intermediate Flat

Michelle Smith (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) was second in the Novice Flat for the other high finish of the day. Other results included Charlotte Hudson coming in third in the Walk/Trot with teammate Katie Brown (Winchester, Va./James Wood) right behind her in fourth and Carly Stirewalt coming in fourth in Intermediate Fences.

The WildCats will compete at Bridgewater next Saturday. Show start time is at 10:00 a.m.
