Randolph XC Ends Consecutive Racing Weeks in NC

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Randolph College cross country teams will finish the grueling start to the season on Saturday, finishing a five-week stretch of races.  The 'Cats will end the streak with its most-runner friendly race, the Hagan Stone Classic in Pleasant Garden, NC.

Unlike the previous four races which featured several elevation changes, the course used for the Hagan Stone Classic is much flatter.  There are some hills, but not to the same extent that the team has seen.  The race will also see the team running through woods and shaded areas, and the entire course is run on grass or dirt.  The men will run an 8K that features several loops through the park, while the women will go for a 5K.

Three runners from the women's team have prior knowledge of the course.  Taylor RamaBaylee Snead, and Sophia Dill have all posted great times in previous races.  No one from the men's team has run the course yet as last year's was cancelled.

The men's race begins at 9:30, while the women will run at 10:15.
