WildCats Head to Maroon Invite

LYNCHBURG, VA – In going along with this year's theme of tough courses, the Randolph College cross country teams will head to the Maroon Invitational on Saturday, which will be hosted by Roanoke College at Mowles Spring Park.

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) championships will be hosted at the very difficult Buena Vista Links Course, which features hills with several elevation changes.  The WildCats competed at that course last week in a searing heat, which forced several runners to stop racing.  With that being said, head coach Bill Cooper is bringing his team to the Mowles Spring Park course, which will also test the runners with similar elevation changes.

The 'Cats last competed in this meet during the 2012 season, giving Coach Cooper extensive history of the course.  It is also another chance for Randolph to compete against ODAC opponents in a competitive race.

Alex Clem and Taylor Rama will look to once again hold the line for the WildCats respective teams, as both have posted the best times so far for the different teams.

The first race will take place at 10:30 a.m.  The men will run an 8K, while the women will run a 5K.
