Personal Bests Abound for Men's Cross Country at Hagan Stone Classic

PLEASANT GARDEN, N.C. -- The WildCats ran their best all-around race so far this year at the Hagan Stone Classic this morning.

Senior Chris Hollingsworth led the 'Cats across the finish line, posting a time of 28:38.20 to finish 12th.

While his time came up just short of a personal best, he was followed by a flock of teammates with personal records.

Leading that charge was first-year Matthieu Meyer, who became just the third person in program history to break the 30 minute plateau, posting a finish of 29:33.90.

Shortly thereafter, a group of black and yellow-clad runners finished together, as junior Donald Saltmarsh, first-year Brian McManus and senior Connor Dye finished 22nd, 23rd and 25th, respectively.

The three all were under 33:00, which gave Randolph five runners under that time in the same race for the first time ever.

Sophomore Kieran Saienni, first-year AJ Palomar and senior Jake Schrank rounded out Randolph's roster.
