NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Region honorees on Monday. Junior DJ Petty (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis) was selected for the South/Southeast region in the 110-meter hurdles.
Petty joins Anthony Quinn as the second athlete in Randolph track and field history to earn All-Region honors. Quinn did it twice in his career both in the 100-meter hurdles.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction. Petty is fifth in the South/Southeast region in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.68 that he set last week at the Great Lakes NCAA Final Qualifying meet at Ohio Wesleyan. Overall in Division III, Petty is tied for 27th.
