WildCats Fall to Bridgewater, 9-0, in Men’s Tennis Action

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Randolph College men's tennis team fell to visiting Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponent Bridgewater College, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Randolph Tennis Courts. 

The Eagles swept all three doubles matches. Brandon Braud (Moseley, Va./Cosby) and Karson Healy (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) fell, 8-2, at No. 1 doubles while the duo of Alex Kulvivat (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) and Andrew Webb dropped an 8-3 decision at No. 2. Bridgewater completed the sweep as John Coffron (Front Royal, Va./Warren County) and Jose Merhej (Fairfax, Va./Oakton) fell in the No. 3 doubles match, 8-0.

In singles action, Kulvivat fell in the No. 1 spot with a score of 6-0, 6-0 while Healy fell in the No. 2 match, 6-3, 6-0. Braud and Webb both fell 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 3 and No. 4 spots, respectively while Merhej lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 and Coffron fell 6-0, 6-3 at No. 6.

The WildCats drop to 0-9, 0-3 ODAC and are back in action on Wednesday, March 20 when they travel to Hampden-Sydney College for a 2 p.m. match-up.
