LEXINGTON, Va. – The Randolph College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) decision to host Washington and Lee University on Tuesday afternoon.
In singles play, Alex Kulvivat (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) fell to Harry Shepherd, 6-2, 6-0, in the No. 1 spot while Karson Healy (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision at No. 2 to Alex Fedor. Brandon Braud (Moseley, Va./Cosby), Jose Merhej (Fairfax, Va./Oakton) and Andrew Webb fell at the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 spots, respectively, with scores of 6-0, 6-0, while John Coffron (Front Royal, Va./Warren County) dropped a 6-1, 6-0 decision in the No. 6 match.
The Generals completed the sweep in doubles play as Washington and Lee defeated Randolph in all three matches with a score of 8-0.
Randolph drops to 0-4, 0-2 ODAC and is back in action on Friday, March 1 when it hosts St. Mary's College (Md.) at 1 p.m. at the Randolph Tennis Courts.
