Men’s Tennis Competes at ITA Regionals

Men's tennis poses at the ITA Regional hosted by Mary Washington University

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Randolph College men's tennis team competed in its first day of competition at the ITA Regional Tournament hosted by Mary Washington University on Friday. 

In doubles action, the duo of Karson Healy (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) and Max Presley (Manakin Sabat, Va./Goochland) fell, 8-1, to Richie Abruscato and Drew Ryan of Stevenson University while the tandem of Brandon Braud (Moseley, Va./Cosby) and Alex Kulvivat (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) dropped an 8-2 decision to Eric Yoo and Aaron Carey of Johns Hopkins University.

Kulvivat and Braud were the only two WildCats to compete in the singles competition with Kulvivat falling to Haverford College's Kevin Yan, 6-0, 6-0 while Braud fell to Cole Pawlawk of Bridgewater College, 6-1, 6-0.

The WildCats are back tomorrow to play in the consolation brackets.
